RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serves as a subject matter expert on Supply Chain accounting processes, systems, and policies.

Documents, standardizes, and updates existing supply chain accounting processes to ensure efficiency, best practice, and policy compliance.

Identifies, documents, and supports IT projects to increase efficiency in supply chain accounting processes.

Provides Plant Controller coverage for extended controller openings.

Cost Accounting resource assigned to integration/divestiture projects.

Establish corporate wide overhead rates, monitor variances, analyze overhead expenses, and implement process improvements to drive key results.

Work with the Corporate and Plant IE's to implement labor and run time updates.

Provides guidance to plant locations on tasks related on system setup. Examples include new item setups, replacement cost, yield requests and interplant freight.

Completes a variety of special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.

3+ years of accounting/finance experience

A pattern of initiative and leadership.

Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient in Excel.

Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred

Prior manufacturing accounting experience.

Completion or working towards completion of CMA or CPA certification.

Prior experience with electronic cost accounting systems), Order Processing, and Oracle applications.

Working knowledge of Cloud reporting tools.

LOCATION: Austin, MN

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $80,800-$113,000 per year , and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
