Tax Accountant

Our client, a dynamic and innovative organization, is seeking a Tax Accountant to join their team. As a Tax Accountant, you will be part of the finance department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Tax Accountant

Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Schedule: Tue-Thu in office, Mon and Fri WFH

Pay Range: $60,000 - $65,000 (Direct Hire)

What's the Job?

Prepare sales and use tax reporting (multiple states preferred 25+)

Prepare commercial rent tax returns for New York City agencies.

Assist with maintenance of tax systems.

Manage the unclaimed property reporting and escheatment process.

What's Needed?

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required - MBA/CPA is a plus.

3-4 years of Accounting experience with multi-state sales and property tax filing.

Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software applications.

Ability to interface well with other internal departments and outside customers.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
