We are looking for a highly skilled Accounting Manager to lead and oversee financial operations in St. Charles, Illinois. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong background in public and corporate accounting who thrives in a leadership position. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with accounting standards while mentoring a high-performing team.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all aspects of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

Lead a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.

Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP and organizational standards.

Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure regulatory compliance and accurate reporting.

Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness.

Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.

Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy.

Manage the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.

Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.

Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field is required.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

CPA designation is highly preferred.

Experience in both public accounting and corporate environments is ideal.

Proven ability to lead and develop a team of accounting professionals.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in financial systems and tools, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
