Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
The Manager of Trade Marketing is responsible for leading priority marketing communications initiatives in support of the sales channels and external clients for both Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood. The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: strategic planning and development of key projects, campaigns, areas of expertise to improve business performance, alignment with marketing & sales leaders, and strong collaboration across division with a solution-based mindset. It is a priority for this manager to lead cross-functional planning meetings and ensure follow through on implementation and tracking of results. This position requires a strong working knowledge of B2B & B2B2C audiences, communication strategy and execution, and the ability to analyze of results and adjust as needed.
STRATEGIC PLANNING & ALIGNMENT
Work closely with internal Sales and Marketing leaders to understand their business goals, priorities, and key annual initiatives.
Determine marketing objectives and manage the development of strategic plans, roadmaps, and briefs for projects and/or campaigns.
Collaborates regularly with internal strategic partners across the Sales, Brand, Hotels, Comms Planning, Web, CRM, Social, PR, and Trade Marketing teams for alignment and efficiency.
Determine strategic needs for content and messaging by audience.
Responsible for presenting plans, point of views, campaign efforts and results to leadership and internal partners.
Provide annual planning input as subject matter product expert.
Establish Universal theme parks as can't miss destination experiences with a significant competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Ensure all communications are consistent with the Universal brand.
IMPLEMENTATION LEADERSHIP
Manage internal relationships with partners to ensure initiatives are implemented as planned, including, but not limited to: Sales, Creative, Communication channels, Legal, LP, etc.
Possess strong strategic judgment, prioritization, and organizational skills to balance multiple projects with staggered delivery dates.
Ensure flawless go to market execution of all assigned initiatives.
Ensure high quality content and messaging output.
Continuously improve performance of existing initiatives, make the proper adjustments based on performance results.
Expected to proactively and continuously drive efficiency and productivity improvements in the product marketing workflow process.
May be assigned to serve as the Marketing Owner/Lead of a cross-functional team.
May be assigned to lead direct reports, contract employees, and/or agency support in the future based on business needs.
Develop a strong working knowledge of Universal Destination & Experiences Brand Standards, Legal, and License guidelines.
TEAM MANAGEMENT
Motivates and develops current and future direct report team members as marketing professionals to achieve maximum results and empowering them to lead, communicate and collaborate across divisions in ways that inspire confidence and ownership.
Lead reports on day-to-day marketing efforts, guide them for success.
Direct them to navigate through the process and share best practices for alignment and communication across the division and destinations.
Develop action plans for continued professional growth of team.
Cultivate team member satisfaction and overall wellbeing of the team.
Responsible for embodying the culture standards of trust, collaborate, fun, ownership, innovation and winning together.
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, and/or business administration preferred. Master of Business Administration (MBA) highly preferred.
3+ years of progressive brand management and/or marketing experience.
Proven team/consensus building skills.
Record of exceeding targets/objectives.
Strong critical decision-making and communication skills.
Strong analytical, planning, forecasting and budgeting/financial skills.
Demonstrated translation of data into implication and implication into strategy.
Strong understanding of consumer and brand research.
