DreamWorks Animation is currently seeking an administrative assistant to support two executives in television development and become a contributing member of the television development team. The person best suited for this role is someone who wants to make a meaningful contribution to the animation industry and help DreamWorks with best in class content. The position will interact with studio departments, talent agencies and management companies, book publishers, and talent.

Responsibilities: "What would you say you do here?"
Manage calendars and phones for two lively offices. Will entail being able to prioritize projects/meetings and coordinating several calendars beyond your own office. Initiating and following up on meetings with attention to protocol for how to communicate and request time.
Help manage the schedule and tasks of the two offices, with clear communication to your executives.
Track and read submissions and writing samples, and offer written thoughts in a timely manner.
Support and track ongoing efforts to search for great books and other source materials.
Help, distribute, and manage weekly reading assignments to the team.
Update and maintain different department status reports/memos.
Coordinate travel arrangements and process expense reports promptly.
Maintain and improve systems for multiple administrative processes related to development.
Assist with documenting the development budget.
Take notes in meetings and during calls.
Synthesize information into clear and/or actionable data points/analysis.
Assist in crafting decks/slideshows for presentations.
Conduct research as needed to support the development process.
Serve as an ambassador for the office, the department, and the company.
Offer critical feedback on creative submissions.
Assist other departments as needed.
Basic Qualifications: "What do I need to have in order to do this job?"
Minimum of one year of Industry (preferably animation) or agency experience required.
Will multitask in a fast-paced environment and simultaneously manage multiple priorities.
Will be a strategic problem solver, is meticulous, and able to follow through on tasks without consistent prompting.
Will operates with discretion and interact in a highly professional manner with senior level executives and talent, both in person and virtually.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, etc.) required.
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week, and up to five as needed.

Bachelor's degree preferred.
Industry experience (e.g. administrative assistant, internships) preferred.
Strong organizational skills, professionalism, follow-through, and pride in work.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong writing skills, especially critical writing.
Passion for the Animation industry.
Demonstrated interest in television animation and family programming (specifically) and movies (generally).
Eagerness to learn about, and contribute to, the script development process.
Experience with Windows, Mac OS, FileMaker Pro, and Photoshop is a plus.
