The VP, Marketing Operations will lead the operational foundation of the marketing organization-owning the processes, systems, and governance that ensure marketing initiatives are executed efficiently, compliantly, and at scale. This leader will translate marketing strategy into streamlined execution by aligning workflows, managing production resources, and ensuring timely, compliant delivery of both marketing and regulatory communications. The VP of Marketing Operations will manage over 1 billion regulatory, operational, and discretionary communications annually, along with an operations budget exceeding $60 million. This role oversees two critical functions:
· AVP, Marketing Operations - responsible for day-to-day marketing execution, workflow management, campaign production, and offshore resource coordination.
· AVP, Regulatory & Operational Communications - accountable for ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant delivery of required consumer and regulatory communications in coordination with Legal, Compliance, and Product teams.
The VP, Marketing Operations, will play a central role in enabling a high-performing, agile marketing organization that delivers consistent, measurable results across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Campaign Execution
Lead end-to-end marketing execution processes, including intake, resource planning, trafficking, QA, and deployment across all channels.
Oversee workflow management tools, SLAs, and project governance to ensure timely delivery of marketing initiatives.
Manage and optimize offshore production resources, driving scale, efficiency, and high-quality output.
Partner closely with Creative, Brand, and Product Marketing teams to align execution with strategy and ensure delivery excellence.
Leverage internal and external MarTech platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Adobe) to make execution plans more effective and efficient.
Marketing Governance & Process Optimization
Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support consistent, efficient, and agile marketing execution.
Establish and monitor operational KPIs to measure workflow efficiency, campaign velocity, and production performance.
Lead quarterly and annual planning processes, ensuring clear prioritization and alignment across business units and marketing functions.
Identify and drive opportunities for process automation and continuous improvement, reducing time-to-market and operational friction.
Regulatory & Operational Communications
Oversee execution of all regulatory and operational communications to members, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and legal standards.
Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Product teams to ensure all consumer-facing communications meet state and federal requirements.
Build processes that balance regulatory rigor with speed and flexibility, enabling timely communication in a fast-moving environment.
Oversee enterprise capabilities and processes supporting translation, interpretation, and alternate format communications.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Manage and develop direct reports and their respective teams, fostering a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous learning.
Serve as the central hub between strategic planning and execution, ensuring marketing intent is translated into flawless delivery.
Collaborate closely with Creative, Brand, Analytics, Legal, and Technology teams to ensure alignment across all campaign and communication efforts.
Act as a trusted operational advisor to the CMO and marketing leadership team, driving focus, scalability, and performance across the function.

Qualifications
15+ years of experience in marketing operations, production, or campaign management, ideally within healthcare, insurance, or other regulated industries.
Proven leadership in managing complex marketing operations teams and regulatory communications at scale.
Experience leading offshore or external production teams, with a strong understanding of workflow tools and execution best practices.
Deep expertise in operational governance, process design, campaign planning, and compliance frameworks.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across stakeholders.
Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, matrixed organization, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
Demonstrated success in implementing compliant, customer-focused, omnichannel strategies for delivery of communications.
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
