OIS Ship Scheduler - An Active Secret Clearance is a Must Have!
Overview/ Job Responsibilities:
GDIT is looking for a Navy Ship Install Scheduler (SHIPMAIN) for the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Ordnance Information System (OIS) to provide technical expertise on a mission-critical program whose purpose is to develop, modernize, enhance, operate, and maintain services for OIS mission critical systems.
This role works with NAVSUP OIS Customer Fleet Support Center/OIS Retail Partial Connectivity and Alteration Install Team (AIT) as well as the Customer Support Center (CSC) to manage and schedule OIS software installs ashore and afloat across the world.
This position is based onsite in Yorktown, VA, or Mechanicsburg, PA.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Navy Ship Install Scheduler (SHIPMAIN) primary responsibilities include:
Support the Government in managing the execution of multiple large complex projects with multiple dependencies, including installation planning activities and delivery of OIS Software onboard U.S. Navy surface units. Advise and provide recommendation to OIS Government Leadership of business operations, and naval modernization and repair activities.
Support the Government in managing OIS Software installation team activities throughout installation phases. Maintain awareness of ship availability status, problems confronted, and courses of action taken through periodic management meetings & reports, and provide input to the project teams with regards to the recognition & correction of potential problems of a technical, material and fiscal nature.
Develop, maintain, and brief installation progress & plans with regards to meeting cost, schedule, and performance.
Review Alteration Installation Team (AIT) work statements to ensure modernizations conform to all statutory and regulatory compliance in accordance with NAVSEA Technical Specifications 9090-310 series and the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM).
Review and provide analysis to OIS Government Leadership on OIS installation and testing schedules, including any significant findings or potential risks to the successful completion of the work.
Monitor and support ordering, tracking, and issuance of material and equipment shipments in support of installations.
Participate as subject matter expert in knowledge management, knowledge sharing, and lessons learned to identify and implement solutions to issues.
Develop and maintain working documents, reports and briefings for Government stakeholders, to include information in databases such as but not limited to: Configuration Data Managers Database - Open Architecture (CDMD-OA), Navy Data Environment (NDE), ModTracker, Navy Tool for Interoperability and Risk Assessment (NTIRA), and Systems Command (SYSCOM) Program Executive Office (PEO) Integrated Data Environment and Repository (SPIDER);
Review and validate, via NDE & SPIDER, the PEO C4I Platform Manager and Installation Manger's recommendations to the Letter of Authorization (LOAs) / Advance Planning Letters (APLs), and maintain/update the LOA database fields within SPIDER work plan;
Complete Regional Maintenance & Modernization Coordination Office (RMMCO) check-in and check-out, at various RMMCOs prior to production start and again at completion of installations.
Generate Status Reports for work products, and deliverables in the Contractor's monthly Report.
Review existing vessel class OIS Software configurations and monitor emergent system requirements and solutions.
Provide technical guidance to help resolve complex ship industrial problems during Ships Alterations (SHIPALT's), and remediation services for identified OIS Software systems;
Assist the Government in creating and updating installation Plan of Actions & Milestones (POA&M)
Observe and provide input and recommendations to the Government on AIT execution of alterations and upgrades. Ensure AIT adheres to safety, technical, environmental, and production process requirements and discrepancies reported to the OSIC
Minimum Qualifications
Must have DOD Secret level clearance to start; U.S. Citizen required only for Federal Clearance Requirement
Certification Requirement: Directive 8570.1/8140 - IAT II: Security+
BA/BS (Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other) or equivalent years' experience and 6+ years of prior relevant experience
Experience with US Navy afloat systems architecture, installation, integration, testing, and briefing project status;
Experience with reviewing and developing, technical correspondence, reports, documents, drawings, and/or analyses.
Experience working on Navy Ashore/Afloat systems such as CANES, ISNS, COMPOSE, etc.
Demonstrated experience working with Navy Modernization Process Management and Operations Manual (NMP-MOM) and TS9090-310G Alterations to Ships Accomplished by Alteration Installation Teams
Experience developing SOPs, checklists, and guides for end users.

The likely salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
