Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Clerk Typist to join a local organization on a part-time basis. This position plays a vital role in supporting the legal department by performing a variety of administrative and typing duties. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, and have an interest in the legal field, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately @type and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports.

Organize and maintain physical and electronic filing systems for legal records and case files.

Perform data entry and update internal databases with case information and documentation.

Proofread and edit legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with formatting guidelines.

Communicate effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and other staff members to assist in administrative and clerical tasks.

Handle sensitive legal documentation with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Assist with mail distribution, photocopying, scanning, and other office support tasks as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in legal studies or administration is a plus.

Proficiency in typing with excellent speed and accuracy; knowledge of legal terminology is an advantage.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and common office equipment.

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a busy work environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Prior experience in a legal setting or administrative role is preferred but not required.
