In the role of Accounting Intern, you'll play a pivotal part on our Finance team.
The Accounting Intern would support and learn accounting functions in all areas at Northwest Aerospace Technologies Inc (NAT), with primary focus on accounts receivable, accounts payable, and base level general accounting. Additionally, this role would have the opportunity to assist in testing and documenting internal controls, to help with compliance and gain an understanding in financial operations within the Aerospace Industry.
Complementary Description
The Accounting Intern will:
Process manufacturing and engineering invoices to send to customers
Prepare invoice processing related to vendor payments
Perform month end reconciliations to the general ledger and process related journal entries as is necessary.
Aid in documenting and testing internal controls and accounting processes.
Work closely with accounting professionals to understand the financial process of a manufacturing aerospace company.
Assist where necessary, in preparing month end process.
The Accounting Intern will gain:
Hands-on learning experience that will help develop relevant skills for individuals pursuing a career within the Aerospace industry in the accounting field.
Exposure to multiple areas within accounting.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Currently pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or relatable field.
Basic understanding of general accounting principles.
Experience with Excel and the functions within.
Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
Positive communicational and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Interest in the aerospace or manufacturing industry is a plus.
This role is on site and does not offer remote work capability.
