Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Methuen, Massachusetts. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy, and supporting essential accounting processes. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner.

Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial records align with actual balances.

Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate financial data.

Prepare and post journal entries to support month-end and year-end closing processes.

Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.

Handle month-end close procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed on schedule.

Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP to manage financial workflows.

Support audits and compliance activities by providing necessary documentation and reports.

Collaborate with team members to improve and streamline accounting processes. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.

Proficiency in preparing journal entries and conducting month-end close activities.

Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP.

Solid understanding of financial statements and reporting.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
