About Houston
ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.
By bringing many global functional groups together, the campus provides employees with the tools and capabilities needed today, and in the future, to achieve business objectives and accelerate the discovery of new resources, technologies and products. What role you will play in our team
The Market Developer is an experienced technical marketing professional on the VistamaxxTM performance polymers, and ExactTM polyolefin elastomers elastomers team responsible for developing and implementing marketing plans for our polymer product lines. The Market Developer leads product and application development initiatives, conducts market research and analysis to support these markets and applications, and defines the value proposition and growth potential for existing portfolio and new product innovations.
The position is located at the ExxonMobil Campus, Spring Texas.
What you will do
Develop and lead marketing plans in line with business strategy
Identify discernible market segments through the analysis of target markets, industry trends, customer needs, and competition
Assess ExxonMobil market application fit and customer needs, translating findings into value propositions for ExxonMobil product/service in targeted markets and define sales opportunity pipelines
Conduct value chain and value-in-use analyses, engaging and building value chain connections
Maintain a deep understanding of the customer value produced by ExxonMobil, along with internal economics
Lead the development of new products and applications, including the development of business cases, alignment of stakeholders, and progressing through internal project gates
Coordinate cross-functional relationships to develop and implement marketing tactics, tools, and training that support relevant markets and products/services
Develop communication plans targeted at both internal and external stakeholders
Participate in industry associations, seeking opportunities to influence strategies aligned with those of ExxonMobil
About you
More than 10 years of relevant industry experience with 5+ years in market facing roles
Technical marketing and application development experience in the relevant value chains
Experience in polypropylene and/or elastomers
Technical degree in Chemistry, Polymer/Material Science, or Chemical Engineering strongly preferred
Solid business economics and analytical skills in project evaluation
Experienced with new product introductions and commercialization
Travel required
