Our work depends on a Senior Cooling Engineer Lead joining our team to support the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) activities.

As a Senior Cooling Engineer Lead supporting PEO IWS, you will be trusted to bring together a multi-disciplinary team that is geographically dispersed to provide engineering planning, design, integration, installation, and test of Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) onboard ships post-construction and during maintenance availabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the Aegis Command Decision (C&D) and Aegis Display System (ADS) are operational and available.
Specific responsibilities include:
Manage and oversee assignments to personnel involved in the analysis, design, integration, testing, installation, operation, product support, and maintenance of the Aegis auxiliary cooling systems and components.
Act as primary point of contact for Cooling Engineering installations.
Coordinate with the senior members of the Combat System Test Coordinators and Test Director for cooling related matters.
Ensure proper activation and operation of the cooling systems supporting the Aegis Combat System (ACS) infrastructure including safety processes, diagnostic test procedure review, crew training and trials support, configuration and its interface/relationships with shipboard auxiliary equipment.
Configure, and operate temporary convection-@type cooling systems to support Aegis Combat System testing.
Support Aegis auxiliary equipment configuration and operation supporting the testing and employment of the ACS.
Identify, report, and assist in the resolution of cooling equipment operational and configuration issues.
Ensure demineralized water, ship's chilled water, & sea-water supply service pumps, Electronic Cooling Water skids, SPY Sea Water Cooling skids, heat exchangers, cooling water air-removal systems, air handling units, and supporting piping configurations are operational and available to support Aegis Combat System operation and coordinate with the senior members of the Combat System Test Coordinators and Test Director for cooling related matters.
Work as a team member to complete customer deadlines which may have competing/shifting priorities.
Document test procedure discrepancies for future revisions.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
A Bachelor of Arts or Science (BA/BS) in the relevant field and 10+ years of experience in command and control engineering or related experience (or 15+ years of experience without a degree).
A US DoD Secret security clearance is required.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of the larger GDIT Navy and Marine Corps Sector.
U.S. Citizenship is required.

The likely salary range for this position is $144,410 - $195,378. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
