Description We are looking for an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join our team in New York, New York. This role involves supporting attorneys with a wide range of responsibilities, including legal research, document preparation, and case management. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring cases are handled efficiently and effectively, from inception to resolution.

Responsibilities:

Draft and prepare legal documents such as discovery requests, responses, notices, and deposition summaries.

Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, case law, and other legal resources to support case strategies.

Manage all phases of litigation, including tracking case progress and coordinating necessary documentation.

Communicate with clients, attorneys, court personnel, and opposing counsel to gather information and provide updates.

Organize and maintain case files, both physical and electronic, using e-discovery tools and legal databases.

Prepare for mediations, arbitrations, and trials by compiling exhibits, drafting damages brochures, and creating case presentations.

Request and obtain records from various organizations, such as the Social Security Administration and Federal Aviation Administration.

File pleadings, motions, affidavits, and other legal documents electronically in both state and federal courts.

Coordinate meetings, interviews, and other client-related activities to maintain strong relationships.

Utilize software tools like Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and CompuLaw for case management and workflow optimization. Requirements - Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.

Minimum of 5-7 years of recent experience in personal injury litigation, preferably on the plaintiff side.

Strong knowledge of state and federal court systems, including local rules and filing procedures.

Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and familiarity with e-discovery platforms.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of the English language.

Ability to manage multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail and time management skills.

Experience handling wrongful death cases and managing personal injury claims from start to finish.
