The pay range is $128,000.00 - $231,000.00

About the role:??
As a Lead UX Researcher within our Consumer UX Team you'll be at the forefront of Target's evolving digital experience, shaping it for our guests and contributing to business growth. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and synthesizing research to create actionable insights for the cross functional product development team. You will translate research data into powerful stories that help shape Target's products. This role is a key partner to several functions in the digital group including product managers, UX product designers, engineers, data scientists, content designers, accessibility consultants, and site merchandisers. You will play a crucial role in the product development process, ensuring that our products align with guests' needs by bringing their voice to life.
As a member of our Consumer UX Research Team, you'll be working on the product lifecycle experience for our personalization and relevancy content. You'll use tried and true research methodologies utilizing human centered design thinking to deepen our understanding of our Guests' experience, needs, and pain points with a focus on the end-to-end experience. As part of a cross functional team, you will help develop new ways of how we onboard, engage, and surface sponsored content.
As a member of the team, you will contribute to advancing the broader practice of UX at Target through influence, impact, and craft, while also educating cross-functional teams when needed. Responsibilities:
Serve as?a?leader?within?product teams throughout the research project life cycle - recommending appropriate methodology, scoping, and coordinating the entire process, facilitating in-field research and post-research synthesis through analysis.?
Act as a strategic thought partner and provide expert guidance in leading, conducting, and synthesizing qualitative research projects - including, but not limited to in person orremote moderated & unmoderated testing, surveys, heuristic reviews, benchmark studies, concept testing, online & in-store intercepts, and ethnographies
Lead and follow through on synthesis and analysis of research findings - activating the insights gleaned through observations and interviews and identifying key opportunity and whitespace areas in the @context of corporate strategic direction.
Utilize both quantitative and qualitative research methods and know when to use one or the other
Support product teams (product managers, product designers, engineering) throughout the research project life cycle - recommending appropriate methodology, scoping, and coordinating the entire process, facilitating in-field research and post-research synthesis through analysis
Assist the broader UX Research team in keeping our ongoing research library up-to-date and comprehensive
Contribute to a culture of human-centered practice within UX, product, and engineering teams
Navigate complexity and ambiguity delivering impact for guests, team members, and the business?
About you:??
Minimum of 7yearsexperience practicing UX design research for digital product teams
Experience in UX Research methods, including remote moderated & unmoderated testing, online & in-@context (store) intercepts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to cross functional partners?
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A strong ability to tell compelling stories from data
Comfortable within ambiguity with the ability to prioritize; demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects (both small and large)?and adjust to changing priorities?
Strong project management skills - experience managing multiple projects at various stages in the project life cycle
Project management experience and/or direct experience with consumer research or design research
Comfortable speaking to a diverse group of people and leading conversations to discover research insights?
Excellent strategic thinking and problem solving skills
Experience running, recruiting, moderating and analysis of online panels and thinking?strategically about their application
Proficient in?Powerpoint, Outlook, Word and other MS Office software
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
