This role focuses on building deep, value-driven relationships, ensuring seamless execution of service delivery, and aligning account activities with both customer and company strategic goals. Working closely with internal teams and customer stakeholders, the Sr Account Manager - Strategic Accounts plays a critical role in customer satisfaction, retention, and growth within strategic accounts. Responsibilities Develop and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders at all levels within strategic accounts, acting as the voice of the customer to internal teams. Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts within the operating company, ensuring consistent communication, proactive problem-solving, and responsive service. Manage day-to-day customer needs, support pricing discussions, and drive customer satisfaction, retention, and profitability. Partner with Business Development and Sales teams to identify growth opportunities within strategic accounts and support proposal development and pricing strategies. Prepare proposals and presentations to support sales strategies and execution of business plans. Identify and nurture growth opportunities within existing accounts, aligning customer needs with new service offerings or capabilities. Analyze and report on account performance metrics (e.g., quotes, sales, backlog, delivery, returns), identifying trends and recommending actionable improvements. Maintain accurate forecasts and customer data in CRM systems; monitor satisfaction metrics and document customer interactions. Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, quality, and customer service to ensure on-time delivery, resolve issues, and meet customer expectations. Participate in internal planning and SIOP meetings to align on customer demand and strategic targets. Coordinate and participate in customer meetings, business reviews, and account planning sessions, including performance, opportunities, and forecasting. Support the resolution of customer complaints and financial issues in collaboration with Quality and Finance departments. Represent the company at industry tradeshows and customer events as needed. Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, including participation in the Operational Excellence Program. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, project management, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in account management or customer service roles, with a strong emphasis on high-touch service or strategic customer relationships. Proven ability to manage complex customer relationships and navigate across multiple stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and work independently with a high degree of integrity. Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites and events (up to 15% of the time). Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to prepare and present clear reports, presentations and business correspondence. Ability to calculate figures and analyze sales data. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize, multitask, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Capable of interpreting business and technical documents and solving practical problems. Ability to work in a manufacturing setting. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 5 years of B2B experience. Prior experience supporting strategic or enterprise-level accounts. Experience in medical device or other regulated manufacturing industries. Training or certification in customer success, account management, or project management methodologies.
