Position: Supply Chain / Planner Intern

Location: Otsego, Michigan; 17 miles from WMU

Pay: $18 - $22 depending on credit hours

Essential Functions:

Maintain a variety of schedules, records, and reports pertaining to the tracking of materials through the production cycle and availability of production resources.

Assists in executing requisite system transactions needed to support the receipt, storage and transferring of material.

Assists with the monitoring of inventory levels; generating tracking reports and performing data entry as required.

Assist with being a go between for the Planning Manager and the Ops Manager of the Value Stream to ensure that the scheduling system is being maintained and executed correctly.

Communicate with Vendors to review late PO's

Execute Daily Job Scheduling and Kanban board review

Learn Inventory Management Software to be able to run monthly usage updates

Qualifications/Requirements:

Working toward college degree in Business, Engineering, or Materials Management

Analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and automation opportunities.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with customers; internal and external.

Intermediate to advanced computer skills

Understanding of electronic processing

Certification in supply chain management preferred

Junior or Senior year status preferred
