Job Purpose:
Collaborate with the existing Champion Marketing Team to identify, develop, and implement programs to grow Champion's residential business(es), retain existing customers and increase brand awareness. In addition, work closely with Champion leadership team to ensure programs are well understood and supported. This role will report to the SVP Champion and may present to and/or prepare content for the president of Calpine Retail, the CEO of Calpine and the Board of Directors as needed.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to drive both EBITDA, customer count growth and increase brand awareness. Moreover, this role involves overseeing marketing activities, including advertising, promotions, public relations, and digital marketing efforts.
Analyze and Identify new market opportunities; coordinate go-to-market and new product launches with both internal and external stakeholders accordingly.
Look for ways to deploy targeted acquisition campaigns to increase high customer lifetime value accounts.
Assist with marketing channel mix and budget allocation for optimal spend and cost per acquisition.
Collaborate with Champion leadership team to grow brand presence through targeted placements through with third-party Agency firms.
Lead digital marketing, data analytics, loyalty programs and product offer(ing).
Negotiate media buys with strategic vendors for targeted advertising (e.g., Television, Billboards, etc.)
Develop analytical tools to measure and validate ad-spend efficiency by channel.
Manage and deploy social media platform, approve content and drive acquisition efforts for both paid and organic channels.
Oversee website functionality, content (e.g., SEO) and development from both a functionality as well as a creativity perspective(s).
Responsible for management of on-line reputational management.
Work closely with the Champion leadership team to develop and execute marketing plans that align with the company's overall business objectives. This individual will also be responsible for analyzing market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
Collaborate with Champion leadership team to manage and optimize marketing costs, leverage and identify sales channels/partners and to actively track residential sales metrics, some of which include:
New Sales
Renewal / Retention Rates
Acquisition and Conversion Rates
Survival Rates
Cost(s) to acquire
This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that marketing initiatives are executed effectively and efficiently.
Assist with the development of the necessary skills within the team to support channel development, product development, customer experience and data analytics.
Collaborate with Calpine commercial team to lead residential product development and pilot programs as needed.

Familiarity with pricing models (i.e., swing and convexity pricing models)
Familiarity with AI capabilities in the marketplace

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate for this role will have 10 or more years background in a senior marketing role with experience developing and implementing successful marketing strategies and ad campaigns in the residential electricity or similar sectors. In addition, this individual should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
Strong leadership and communication skills are also essential for this position.
Demonstrated ability to assess needs, validate direction with key stakeholders, develop and deliver impactful programs, create feedback loops, monitor performance, adjust as needed.
Systems - Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and CRM systems.
Education
Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline.
