North Tonawanda. Wheatfield Pediatrics. Medical Assistant. $18.50/hour.

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our large pediatric practice. The ideal candidate will play an essential role in delivering high-quality, direct patient care to our young patients and their families, while supporting our healthcare team in various clinical and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

Provide direct patient care by preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, and assisting with procedures.

Collect and document patient information, including medical history, symptoms, and any updates.

Clinical Support:

Set up exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for each patient.

Prepare and maintain medical supplies, instruments, and equipment.

Assist with lab tests, specimen collection, and any required follow-up care.

Coordinate care with the healthcare team, including scheduling appointments, preparing referrals, and following up with patients as necessary.

Administrative Duties:

Document patient interactions, procedures, and treatments accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).

Manage patient flow by helping to reduce wait times and ensure a smooth process during each visit.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.

CPR/BLS certification.

Experience working with children or in a pediatric setting is highly desirable.

Skills and Abilities:

Excellent communication skills, especially with children and their families.
