Project Accountant

Description We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. This is a long-term contract position within the dynamic Real Estate and Property industry. The ideal candidate will manage financial tasks for a large-scale construction project, ensuring smooth operations and accurate reporting.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide insights into project performance.

Manage purchase orders and perform three-way matching to ensure accuracy.

Oversee the procurement process, including purchasing materials and managing inventory.

Support administrative functions, including front desk responsibilities, while prioritizing project tasks.

Track project progress to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and on time.

Collaborate with team members to address challenges and maintain effective communication.

Utilize analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.

Visit project sites on a monthly basis to monitor and report on project developments.

Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements - Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on project or construction-related roles.

Familiarity with accounting software such as Deltek, Costpoint, or similar systems.

Strong skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial auditing.

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.

Effective communication skills to coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Quick learner with the ability to adapt to evolving project needs.

Experience in administrative support or office management is a plus.

Background in construction or real estate is highly desirable but not required.
