HVAC Laborer/Plumbing Laborer

Job Description

We're seeking multiple entry-level candidates to perform a variety of tasks, including demolition, assisting carpenters, unloading and staging materials, and assisting in the installation of fire collars, ductwork, fittings, and general HVAC installation. This hands-on position involves heavy lifting and various production duties. Ideal candidates will have great attendance, a positive attitude, and some basic knowledge of construction.

Responsibilities

Perform general construction labor, including cleaning and preparing job sites, moving materials by hand, and cleaning up rubble and debris after work is complete.

Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 70 pounds of material.

Take apart or construct scaffolding, bracing, and other temporary structures for the construction site.

Assist craft workers such as carpenters or HVAC Service Techs with their duties.

Operate hand and power tools of all @types.

Assist in sheet metal fabrication and creating products when on-site new construction jobs are slow.

Essential Skills

0-5 years of general construction or outdoor labor work.

Ability to lift 70 lbs. and perform strenuous outdoor work in exposed weather conditions daily.

Ability to abide by all company field safety rules.

Ability to listen to and work with supervisors to perform all tasks in the safest manner.

Basic math skills to read tape measures and calculate cuts, breaks, and general construction duties.

Experience with hand and power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Basic knowledge of construction.

Mechanically inclined.

Work Environment

Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM. Some projects may run 4-10s from 7 AM to 5:30 PM, with potential for overtime. Work locations include New Prague Apartments, Hopkins Nursing Home, Albertville Daycare, RogersSeniorLiving, Inver Grove Heights Daycare, Fridley Krispy Kreme, Becker Fairway Ridge Phase 2 (Apartments), and Minnetonka - Aimra Villas (Apartments).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
