Manufacturing Supervisor III
Position Overview
The Twisting Lead Supervisor will develop the skills of first line supervision at Plant 65 in Andalusia, Alabama . The position supervises two front line supervisors and complies with all safety, quality, production, waste, absenteeism, turnover, and housekeeping standards necessary to meet the departmental requirements assigned by the Department Manager . The facility is a new state of the art automated Fibers Extrusion facility exceeding 1 million square feet and 1200 + employees . Shaw Industries is cur rently investing over $200M in the Andalusia facility to modernize and will introduce industry-leading technologies.

Responsibilities:
Directs activities of shift supervisors (mentor).
Coordinates manning in order to maximize production during labor shortages.
Initiates accident investigations and provides follow up for corrective action.
Follows up on quality - critical procedures and SYR's.
Housekeeping and safety audits.
Assists supervisors with personnel issues.
Creates shift to shift teamwork .
Coordinates shift break in order to minimize complaints between operators.
Participates/Leads in meaningful Green Belt Projects.
Coordinates and influences Team Development.
Training follow-up to ensure trainees are getting all they need for progression and eliminates roadblocks for trainers.
SYR & Quality Follow up.
Assists employees with H.R. questions (Benefits, training, communication).
Provides consistency which should give us improved control over turnover attendance, safety, and employee infractions.
Improves scheduling & follow up.

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree with 2 + years of manufacturing supervisory experience, or High School Diploma with 5 + years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
