Job Title: Manufacturing Associate

Pay: $20-$22/hour

Location: Clayville, NY

Job Description

We are seeking an entry-level manufacturing associate, with openings on multiple shifts. The role involves supporting the setup and operation of vacuum furnaces through various tasks, including cleaning, quality inspection, and monitoring operations. This position requires adherence to safety guidelines and the ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently. A minimum of 6-months of manufacturing or plant operations experience is required.

Available Shifts

Weekday Shifts:

6th Shift: 6:00AM-4:00PM, Monday through Thursday

7th Shift: 2:00PM-12:00AM, Monday through Thursday (10% differential)

8th Shift: 10:00PM-8:00AM, Monday through Thursday (10% differential)

Weekend Shifts:

4th Shift: 7:00AM-7:00PM, Friday through Sunday (10% differential, get paid for 40 hours with 36 hours of work)

5th Shift: 7:00PM-7:00AM, Friday through Sunday (10% differential, get paid for 40 hours with 36 hours of work)

Responsibilities

Perform various cleaning, quality inspection, monitoring, and securing operations to assist in the setup of a vacuum atomization furnace.

Work from verbal and written instructions to perform repetitive tasks before, during, and after the atomization process.

Assist in preparing raw material charges, running the furnace control board, making minor repairs on the furnace, atomization chamber, and other auxiliary equipment.

Assist in the removal and replacement of furnace lid and coils, and clean the interior of the furnace chamber and 'O' ring seal.

Assist in the attachment and detachment of gas, electric, and water lines to furnace lid and tank.

Utilize electric hoist to remove and replace furnace lid from furnace chamber.

Clean inside of crucibles, patch cracks, and perform other repair tasks of crucible prior to next run.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.

Ability to work from heights up to 60 feet.

Able to wear a respirator.

Physically capable of bending, lifting, squatting, twisting, overhead reaching, standing on feet for long periods of time (up to 8 hours), climbing stairs, and lifting up to 25 lbs. independently.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
