Description

We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a solid background in accounting, including bank reconciliations and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in multiple accounting systems and processes while ensuring accuracy in all financial records. The role is fully remote.

Responsibilities:

Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting and account balancing.

Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.

Prepare and post journal entries, maintaining consistency and compliance with accounting standards.

Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Assist in month-end close procedures, including preparing financial statements and reconciling accounts.

Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to manage financial operations.

Collaborate with team members to analyze and improve accounting workflows and processes.

Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations in all financial activities.

Provide support for audits and other financial reviews as needed.

Prepare ad-hoc financial reports to assist management in decision-making

Requirements - Proven experience in accounting roles, with a focus on bank reconciliations and financial reporting.

Proficiency in accounting software, including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.

Strong understanding of general ledger processes and journal entries.

Knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions.

Ability to perform month-end close procedures and prepare financial statements.

Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently.

Familiarity with accounting standards and regulations.
