The Director of Digital Marketing will be responsible for setting the digital marketing and content strategy and oversee the execution of paid marketing, search engine optimization, email marketing, social media, media buying, public relations, website content and conversion, and web analytics. This role will contribute significantly to strategic marketing planning and will work directly with the Vice President of Marketing and other team leaders to hit department goals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Develop and deliver marketing policies, practices and strategies to attract customers to our website, online presence and promote our homes online
Lead the delivery of the digital homebuyer experience to drive awareness, customer growth and to enhance homebuyer engagement
Set a multi-year strategy to grow sales and homebuyer engagement digitally
Lead the design and marketing teams to develop creative concepts and campaigns that attract, engage, and convert
Develop digital marketing plans, website improvement plans to enhance the online customer experience and online customer journey
Lead the SEO projection roadmap, identifying key areas of growth and partnership with cross functional teams to drive prioritization and execution
Manage digital marketing vendor relationships
Own data analysis for digital marketing initiatives to measure impact, ROI and website metric trends
Determine annual KPIs and benchmark criteria to measure marketing effectiveness and identify areas to optimize marketing spend and efforts
Work in partnership with IT to evolve StanleyMartin.com to provide a superior user experience that maximizes home buyer interactions and optimizes SEO
Hold monthly creative brainstorming sessions with Marketing Directors and Managers in Reston to determine new ideas for content and to gain feedback on needs of the team to meet goals
Stay on top of trends in digital marketing and the homebuilding market to best influence how our digital marketing plays a role in our overall success
Grow, develop and manage a high-performing team of Digital Marketing professionals
Ensure a high level of internal client satisfaction with a focus on responsiveness, resolution of problem situations, and successful completion of deliverables
Consistently explore new opportunities for innovation and testing via new vendors, platforms, and proactively deliver recommendations with a goal of reaching and exceeding the KPIs set
Direct the implementation of the strategy, content and ongoing maintenance of digital platforms (websites, social media, email, digital advertising, SEO and SEM) with the marketing team
Manage the digital marketing budget and annual spend

Position Requirements:
BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field
2+ years of leading a digital marketing efforts
Managerial experience
Digital advertising agency experience a plus
Must understand the full digital marketing mix and be able to communicate technical aspects of a campaign in an easily digestible manner
Experience with website analytics tools
Experience with marketing automation platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot, etc.)
Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing
Excellent communicator in both verbal and written formats to compellingly and effectively influence cross-functional teams and senior leaders
The ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, perform under pressure and pay close attention to detail while staying focused on the big picture
Requirement to be in the Reston office 1-2 days per month
