Job Summary:
As a PTI Regional Operations Manager (ROM), you would be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations and performance of the assigned PTI region and location(s). The ROM will work to achieve both individual and company goals while ensuring that our customer's needs are met. Safety is always our #1 priority and should be a main focus for our ROM.

Responsibilities:
Safety:
Promote and practice safety awareness using PTI Safety Culture model.
Educate, train and instruct all employees on PTI Defensive Driving & Health and Safety Guidelines.
Ensure safety performance of the region / location(s) through strict adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
Responsible for completing accident investigations providing information and pictures of any PTI accident to the Safety and Risk departments.
Conduct safety meetings as needed to encourage and engage staff to be a part of the local safety culture. .
Staffing:
Support the process of recruiting, interviewing, select, train and retain a quality driver's workforce.
Support pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, and random drug and alcohol tests.
Maintain a staffing level based upon business goals to meet the needs of the customer.
Maintain the driver schedules by utilizing trip data analysis.
Utilize the staffing tools provided and build relationships within the local community.
Facilitate driver engagement and recognition initiatives.
Management/Administration:
Overall responsibility for the complete operations of assigned region/location(s), providing supervision and coaching to all employees.
Oversight and responsibility for branch expenditures; monitor and control expenses.
Oversight and responsibility of operational reports, forecasting trip trends, and data analysis.
Properly train and monitor all employees on the operational technology, equipment, and compliance of required paperwork.
Ensure all trips and work are completed accurately, timely, and professionally
Monitor and evaluate the performance of the drivers through physical observations and the use of available technology.
Ensure all drivers are scheduled and work within their Hours of Service (HOS).
Fleet Management

Coordinate and manage vehicle maintenance programs utilizing approved vendors.
Complete vehicle inspections per company policies and procedures.
Sourcing potential new automotive repair vendors and suppliers as needed

*In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the hourly rate for this role is specific to the ROM for this region. The hourly rate for other branches/regions may vary. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule @type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate would have:
A high school diploma/equivalent is minimally required (certifications or diplomas in vehicle maintenance a plus)
A m inimum of 3 years' experience in management of people / team.
1 year of transportation, logistics, or fleet management experience preferred (knowledge of dispatch services a plus)
Proficiency with computers and computer software required. Must be at least an intermediate level user of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
Must possess and continuously maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Been driving for at least 3 years
Personal transportation
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and pull up to 15 pounds
Must be able to climb in and out of the vehicle
Must be able to bend to inspect the undercarriage of a vehicle and tires
Must be able to manually open and close all doors and hatches on the vehicle
Ability to sit for extended periods of time when driving, which may be required
Travel Requirements:
While managing multiple locations, the ROM is expected to travel to the locations as needed to conduct recruiting, training, safety meetings, performance feedback and coaching sessions, and conduct CRM visits.
