Lead Support Representative, Warehouse
POSITION PROFILE
Responsible for leading and directing a team of warehouse associates and forklift drivers in completing their tasks and duties. Ensures all processes and procedures are followed. Ensures all work is completed based on requirements. Able to assist in training warehouse associates and forklift drivers. Direct back-up to Warehouse Supervisor.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
?· Responsible for working with and supports warehouse supervisor/manager to plan and ensure work related timelines and activities are met for functional area.
?· Helps develop and supports work related productivity and quality standards and ensures they are achieved for functional area.
?· Helps train assigned warehouse personnel (warehouse associates, dispatchers, and forklift drivers).
?· Completely trained and knowledgeable of all procedures and processes within functional area.
?· Ensures all OSHA and company safety and security standards and guidelines are adhered to.
?· Leads and directs team members in daily activities.
?· Identifies and recommends corrective action when applicable.
?· Possesses fundamental supervisory skills and has limited management responsibility in the absence of warehouse supervisor.
?· Communicates and supports internal and external customers when required.
?· Possesses fundamental administrative skills and ensures all paperwork is controlled and properly processed.
?· Can efficiently operate all material handling and dock equipment needed to complete all job responsibilities.
?· Is proficient in any/all system or equipment needed to complete all job duties... PC, scanners, manifest system, and WMS.
?· Demonstrates system and process troubleshooting skills to identify, communicate, and correct issues.
?· Demonstrates organizational knowledge of size, scope, and departmental interactions of Regional Distribution Warehouse.
?· Provides assistance to other functional areas as needed.
?· Meets appropriate productivity/quality standards relative to job responsibility as outlined by manager and is aware and focused on continuous quality improvement.
?· Can be involved in physically performing work as required.
?· Financial Responsibility: can be involved in daily volumes of $5M+ in transactional and inventory volumes.
?· Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)
?· High school diploma or equivalent education is required.
?· Knowledge and experience in Warehouse Management System is preferred.
?· Basic knowledge of computer hardware and ERP Platform environment is preferred.
?· Knowledge of Office Products is preferred.
?· Knowledge of MS Office is preferred.
?· Must possess current Forklift Certification.
?· Must have adequate reading and math skills, and ability to write legibly.
?· Drive 5S and daily production goals in support of warehouse leadership objectives.
?· Must be physically able to perform assigned tasks including walking, standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods of time and ability to lift 100lbs.
?· A minimum of 4 years warehouse experience or 3 years within organization is required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, And Abilities
?· Strong Communication Skills.
?· Must have ability to listen and give direction.
?· Must have leadership skills to develop a team that will accomplish goals.
Working Conditions, MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
?· Typically, a warehouse environment with adequate lighting and ventilation, and a normal range of temperature and noise level.
?· Work assignments are diversified. Interpret, comprehend, and apply complex material, data, and instruction ?· prepare, provide, and convey diversified information.
?· Physical effort is required in the lifting of tool cases, and assorted equipment weighing up to 100 pounds, as well as the ability to move objects on wheels that may weigh up to 700 pounds.
?· Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling are required to service equipment at floor level.
?· May be required to work overtime or outside the normal working hours when the need arises.
