Role: Engineering Technician

Your Impact
As an Engineering Technician, you will be testing and evaluating industrial products by developing and implementing processes which include following laboratory methods, procedures, standards, and sequences. You will use, update, modify and/or design test tools to test product improvements and alignment to specifications. You will work closely with a team of developers and designers who use Agile development Methods and the Scrum Framework to deliver critical, customer facing, solutions for Utilities and industrial customers.
Here's where you'll demonstrate your proficiencies:
Design, develop, document, and implement formal test plans and procedures using tools.
Coordinate and review results validity with Product Specialists and record results and generate/update known issues database.
Perform extensive research, development, and testing during implement phase of products.
Inspect products and processes for flaws and identify areas of improvement.
Conduct tests and collect data.
Constructs, develops, or alters breadboards, models, parts, machines, or instruments to Engineering specifications.
Collaborate with developers to reproduce and investigate issues.
Verify that all acceptance criteria are met per product specification.
Analyze issues and identify alternative solutions or workarounds.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
3+ years of Technician experience conducting product testing (environmental, vibration, IP-6x).
Experience designing and qualifying test fixtures during development phase.
Experience with test instrumentation (i.e., temperature, flow, pressure, low voltage analog, function generators, oscilloscopes).
Work well within teams and individually.
Experience in industry protocols (IEC-61850, DNP, Modbus), Ethernet systems, protocol analyzers, and industry SCADA practices a plus.
Knowledge of Agile and Scrum framework a plus.
Technician or Associates degree in Mechatronics, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or similar degree desired.
