Lead Software Engineering needed by AT&T Services, Inc. in Middletown, NJ [Hybrid Position] to gather and review software requirements and user stories. Provide estimates for project timelines and deliverables. Create software design specifications. Design and develop a largescale Event Processing engine. Deploy solutions within an Azure Kubernetes environment. Focus on events normalization, processing, and correlation handling through policies. Develop backend software to support analysis and correlation functionalities related to Fault, Performance, and Security. Design and implement code fixes. Validate outcomes against expected results and produce detailed reports. Perform testing including Unit testing, Dynamic application security testing, interface, integration, and acceptance testing. Provide ongoing support for applications. Solve configuration and environment-related issues promptly. Work within a scaled Agile development environment, contributing to sprints, and collaborative team efforts. Utilize programming languages to execute specific development methodologies including Java, Python, Shell scripting, ELK stack, Kubernetes, SNMPTraps, Syslogs, Kafka (pub/sub), Azure or similar env, TCP/UDP, DevOps-CI/CD process (use of Helm, Jenkins, GitHub, JFrog).MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering and 5 years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered, or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation providing estimates, creating software design specifications, and utilizing programming languages to execute specific development methodologies including Java, Python, Shell scripting, ELK stack, Kubernetes, SNMPTraps, Syslogs, Kafka (pub/sub), Azure or similar env, TCP/UDP, DevOps-CI/CD process (use of Helm, Jenkins, GitHub, JFrog); designing and developing large-scale event processing engine; deploying applications within Azure Kubernetes environments or similar environments; developing backend software to support analysis and correlation functionalities related to Fault, Performance, and Security; performing various @types of testing to ensure software quality including Unit testing, Dynamic application security testing, interface, integration, and acceptance testing.; and working in a scaled Agile development environment.In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master's, or foreign equivalent degree, in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering and three (3) years of experience in the job offered, or three (3) years of experience in a related occupation providing estimates, creating software design specifications, and utilizing programming languages to execute specific development methodologies including Java, Python, Shell scripting, ELK stack, Kubernetes, SNMPTraps, Syslogs, Kafka (pub/sub), Azure or similar env, TCP/UDP, DevOps-CI/CD process (use of Helm, Jenkins, GitHub, JFrog); designing and developing large-scale event processing engine; deploying applications within Azure Kubernetes environments or similar environments; developing backend software to support analysis and correlation functionalities related to Fault, Performance, and Security; performing various @types of testing to ensure software quality including Unit testing, Dynamic application security testing, interface, integration, and acceptance testing; and working in a scaled Agile development environment.Apply at http://att.jobs/, select JOB SEARCH and APPLY and select Search by Requisition Number at the left bottom of the page and enter Job Number: R-65090 or e-mail resume to g25133@att.com and reference Job Number: R-65090.
