Description

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-driven Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Ocean County, New Jersey. In this role, you will help manage all aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in invoice processing and vendor communications. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your organizational and problem-solving skills will make a significant impact.

Responsibilities:

Process a large volume of vendor invoices with accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

Review and validate invoice approvals, ensuring alignment with purchase orders and company policies.

Assign appropriate general ledger (GL) codes to invoices and expense reports for accurate financial reporting.

Investigate and resolve any discrepancies with vendors or internal teams, maintaining clear communication throughout.

Prepare and execute electronic payments and transfers in a timely manner.

Manage accounts payable records by maintaining organized files and documentation.

Assist in month-end closing activities, including reconciling accounts payable and supporting journal entries.

Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to address inquiries and ensure smooth operations.

Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency in accounts payable workflows.

Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related role.

Proficiency in general ledger (GL) coding and financial systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.

Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume work environment.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with vendors and team members.
