Job Title: Excavator Operator

Job Description

Working on Oceana, performing fast-paced digging on the airfield. Safely operate excavators, dozers, and other heavy machinery for pipe work. Follow project specifications for accurate excavating and trenching. Check over the machine before operating and after the day. Work efficiently while ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

Safely operate excavators, dozers, and other heavy machinery for pipe work.

Follow project specifications for accurate excavating and trenching.

Perform pre-operation and post-operation checks on machinery.

Ensure safety protocols are adhered to at all times.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines.

Essential Skills

Experience with dozers, excavators, and heavy equipment operation.

Proficiency in excavation and underground utility work.

Strong understanding of safety protocols in heavy machinery operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

DBIDS certification.

Experience working on Oceana.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
