Clean Room Operator - Sorrento Valley - 1st Shift

Job Description

The Clean Room Operator plays a vital role in producing finished packaged and labeled clinical products, including kits, in alignment with batch instructions while adhering to the principles of current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP). The operator is responsible for maintaining established specifications and ensuring rigorous documentation following good documentation practices.

Responsibilities

Produce finished packaged and labeled products according to batch instructions.

Adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

Document all work following good documentation practices.

Collaborate effectively with other operators.

Utilize smart sheets and JDE as ERP systems.

Perform inspections and ensure quality control.

Demonstrate good manual dexterity in handling products.

Essential Skills

Knowledge and understanding of cGMP.

Experience in pharmaceutical clinical packaging and labeling.

Good documentation practices.

Basic communication and mathematical skills.

Comfortable with technology, tablets, and data entry into Excel.

Familiarity with cleanroom protocols.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience in pharmaceutical or medical device industries.

Legible handwriting for manual data processes.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Work Environment

Employees work in clean rooms, requiring gowning and shoe covers, hair nets, and beard nets. Nail polish and visible piercings must be covered. Operators should be comfortable working in cold rooms for short periods, with jackets provided or personal jackets permitted. The team culture is akin to a family, sharing meals and organizing potlucks. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with breaks. Overtime is typically voluntary, mostly occurring early mornings.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
