Description
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Customer Success Specialist to join our team in Athens, Michigan. This is a contract position where you will play a key role in supporting customers with their building department needs, ensuring smooth processes from start to finish. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys providing excellent customer service. This role is 100% onsite, Monday-Thursday, 7am-5pm, Fridays OFF. Contract role for a minimum of 30 days.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries related to building department services.
Process and track permits throughout their lifecycle, including application intake, plan review, inspections, and closure.
Maintain organized systems for managing files, reports, blueprints, and other essential documents.
Collaborate with plans examiners and inspectors to ensure consistent processes and high-quality service.
Handle inbound customer calls, providing accurate information and resolving issues promptly.
Assist customers with billing inquiries and other administrative tasks related to permitting.
Utilize CRM and permitting software to manage customer interactions and streamline operations.
Ensure a thorough and positive experience for all stakeholders, including contractors, governmental entities, and the public.
Requirements - At least 2 years of experience in administrative or customer service roles.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with permitting software.
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
Familiarity with building and construction processes is preferred.
Experience in permitting or municipal operations is a plus.
Certification as a Permit Technician is an advantage but not required. TalentMatch®
