Job Title: Office Assistant / Administrative Assistant

Location: Near Newtown-Yardley, PA

Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (30-minute lunch break)

Work Environment: 100% Onsite

Duration: Temporary (Summer opportunity for college students OR longer-term temporary with potential for permanent hire)

About Us:

We are a welcoming, mission-driven non-profit religious congregation located near Newtown, PA, currently undergoing an exciting organizational restructure. As we prepare for future growth and transition, we are seeking dedicated Office Assistants/Administrative Assistants to help support daily operations during this critical period.

Position Overview:

This is a temporary, onsite position with the potential to transition to permanent employment based on performance and organizational needs. It is also an excellent summer opportunity for college students looking to gain valuable office experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide general administrative and clerical support to the office team.

Perform filing, scanning, and document management tasks.

Assist with light billing, invoicing, and clerical accounting duties.

Answer and route incoming phone calls; respond to inquiries in a timely, professional manner.

Call families to follow up on submitted inquiries and assist with communication needs.

Maintain organized records and ensure accurate data entry.

Support staff with additional tasks and projects as needed during the restructuring phase.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite and general tech-savviness).

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Sharp attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude.

Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Preferred (but not required):

Previous administrative or office experience.

Interest in non-profit or religious organizations.
