Basic Job Functions:

As a Senior Detailer, you will be responsible for detailing all components of a custom metal building system including the primary steel framing, secondary steel framing, wall panel systems, roof panel systems, and all associated flashings and trims to ensure all components fit together correctly as part of a complete design solution using Metal Building Software (MBS).

The Responsibilities include but not limited to creating:

Construction anchor bolt drawings

Permit/approval drawings

Electronic 3D models of custom-building systems using 3D drafting software

Shop drawings and reports for in-house fabrication and production teams

Erection drawings and bill of materials for field construction use

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Basic math, geometry, and trigonometry skills

10+ Years of experience operating CAD software

Experience creating construction and fabrication drawings

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (NUCOR will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future)

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum Associates degree or two-year vocational school certification with focus on Architecture, Drafting, Construction Management or Engineering Technology

Prior metal building detailing experience
