The Labor, Employment and Privacy Counsel will be responsible for providing strategic advice to Human Resources (HR) and company managers in all areas of employment, labor and privacy law. The successful candidate will also partner with HR to develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and align with emerging legal and regulatory requirements globally. This position is aligned to the Electronics segment of DuPont de Nemours, Inc. It is anticipated that the Electronics segment will be separated from DuPont on or about November 1, 2025, after which it will operate as an independent, publicly traded company.

Key Responsibilities:

Legal Advice: Provide advice and counsel on employment and labor law issues including hiring, discipline, termination, pay and benefits in both union and nonunion environments. Provide advice and counsel on compliance with emerging privacy laws.

Policy Development: Draft and review company policies regarding employee privacy rights, data protection, and proper handling of personal information. Draft and review company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with complex and rapidly changing federal, state and local employment laws.

Training and Education: Conduct training sessions for employees and management on employment laws, privacy policies, and compliance matters.

Litigation Support: Assist in the management of labor-related litigation, including arbitration and mediation processes.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure company operations comply with federal and state regulations on labor and employment, including the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and privacy laws such as GDPR or CCPA.

Risk Assessment: Identify potential legal risks associated with labor and employment practices, and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.

Collaboration: Work closely with HR and other departments to address legal issues related to employee welfare, workplace safety, and employee relations.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

At least seven (7) years' experience practicing as a licensed attorney at a law firm, corporation or with the government working in the areas of labor and employment law

Understanding of privacy laws applicable to employee and third party information

Licensed member and in good standing of at least one state bar and eligible for admission on motion in Delaware required.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to make recommendations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and presentation to senior management.

Exceptional time management and organizational skills, including ability to appropriately prioritize workload and plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals.

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous in-house counsel experience at a publicly traded company.

Experience working with benefits plans, OSHA, or other workplace safety regulations a plus.
