Job Description:
We are seeking an Electrical Validation Engineer to prioritize and lead multiple engineering tasks deliver high-quality results. The ideal candidate will identify test tool requirements and drive tests independently with little to no supervision. Additionally, we want you to find complex bugs, resolve their root causes, and track them while keeping the team advised with relevant information. This role requires ands-on experience in developing high-volume consumer electronic products, excellent organization, problem-solving, and time management skills! Key Responsibilities:
Develop test cases, procedures, and debug complex PCB designs from high-level test plans.
Present test results and data analysis; communicate effectively with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Validate battery functionality and safety; perform functional, stress, system, and various @types of testing to resolve complex bugs.
Manage and prioritize multiple tasks given by engineering team and delivering high quality, detailed results.
Required Skills:
A Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, and/or 3-5 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in battery charging profiles, terms (FCC, RSOC, C value), fuel gauge, balancing circuits, protection circuitry (over voltage, over current, low voltage, battery temperature), and different battery chemistries.
Strong fundamentals and knowledge of different @types of power supplies, electrical validation, testing, battery characteristics, and electrical circuits.
Experienced in handling various power supplies, lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators, DC loads, power analyzer, thermal chambers), and software for schematic capture/PCB layout (Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer). Programming skills in LabVIEW, batch programming, or Python are a plus!
