We are seeking a dynamic engineering professional with proven success in
defining complex test plans, setting technical project criteria, and
self-managing timelines and budgets. The Manufacturing Engineer will lead
technical development and implementation of manufacturing processes, with a
focus on medical, industrial, and aerospace manufacturing development
including scalable additive manufacturing capabilities for the 3D Systems team
in Littleton, Colorado. This role will be an integral part of a
cross-functional team working to achieve site, project, and program goals.

This role has an onsite work schedule requiring the person to be in the onsite
location 5 days a week.

What You Will Do
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop procedures, work
instructions, and controls ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
and standards.
Use engineering judgement to select manufacturing processes that augment 3D
systems current offerings. Work with suppliers to scope and purchase new
equipment. Establish and execute new equipment installation qualification
requirements.
Develop manufacturing methods that are reliable, repeatable, and scalable.
Participate in customer meetings as necessary to gain approval of new designs
and agree on required testing.
Write and execute Verification and Validation (V&V) test protocols and
final reports.
Design and test auxiliary fixtures, tools, and processes; work with
suppliers to scope and purchase hardware.
Develop clear and concise process control documentation and procedures;
ensuring processes are controlled and repeatable.
Implement new operational solutions, including preparing visual work
instructions, executing Change Orders to update internal procedures andinstructions, and subsequent training of internal personnel as necessary.
Communicate final technical reports to both internal and external customers to
gain the required approvals.
Support the production floor by using technical problem-solving skills to
resolve both urgent and systemic issues. Document the results of
investigations and resolutions through the CAPA, Nonconformance, or
Deviation processes.
Applied understanding of applicable quality management requirements and
practices; ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820, AS9100, NADCAP, etc.
Familiarity with applicable regulatory standards for export controls and
handling of government contracts (e.g. ITAR, EAR, etc.).
Report progress and status of individual projects on a timely basis,
ensuring on time execution within scope and budget.
Qualifications
What You Will Bring
Bachelor s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline required.
At least two years of engineering experience with demonstrated proficiency in
supporting manufacturing operations, preferably in the medical, industrial
or aerospace industries under FDA/ISO 13485 or AS9100 design controls.
Proven track record of working in the methodical, structured, and
well-documented manner expected in a highly regulated industry.
Solid understanding and background in core manufacturing engineering
fundamentals, such as process development, GD&T, data analysis,
statistics, testing/inspection, supplier interaction, structured
problem-solving tools, change control, and process/equipment validation.
Experience conducting and reporting V&V activities.
Experience designing and manufacturing tooling/fixtures.
Exposure to lean practices such as 8 wastes, Gemba, process mapping, and
value stream mapping.
Demonstrated professional demeanor with excellent verbal and written
communication skills, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams
and clearly documenting manufacturing processes and test results.
