Job Title: Accounting Assistant (4 month contract)

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Accounting Assistant to join our team for a 3 to 4 month project. The successful candidate will play a key role in migrating data from legacy systems to new platforms, ensuring accuracy and completeness. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and an understanding of transactional accounting principles.

Responsibilities

Migrate data from legacy systems to new platforms, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Generate and analyze reports to support business decisions.

Manage invoice POs and vendor numbers during the migration process.

Perform data entry tasks with a high level of attention to detail.

Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth transition and integration of data.

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to data migration.

Essential Skills

Intermediate Excel Skills

Experience with large ERP systems

Familiarity with purchase orders (POs) and invoices

Knowledge of reconciliation, invoicing, and general ledger processes

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data management tools

Understanding of transactional accounting principles

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Work Environment

This position requires working onsite and partnering with the accounting and finance team to help translate and migrate data from one system to another. You will be working closely with team members to ensure a smooth transition and integration of data.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
