Life Skills and Transition Center (LSTC)- Grafton, ND -Administrative Assistant
As anAdministrative Assistant, you will greet visitors, staff, and individuals, offer assistance and direction, and serve as a resource for outside agencies and campus personnel. You will coordinate conference room and facility scheduling, screen and direct phone calls, and handle communications for staff and individuals supported.
Additionally, you will call recreational and community agencies for price checks and equipment, arrange travel for unit activities, and ensure lodging and special needs are addressed. you will also participate in committees, attend general building meetings, and record minutes and create documents as directed.
Your role would include maintaining and troubleshooting office equipment, assisting in living areas and the lobby when needed, and supporting the Superintendent and Unit Directors with administrative tasks. You will manage record keeping, maintain accurate records and assist in developing and finalizing support plans along with data compilation and audits to assure state and federal regulations are met. In addition, creating and initiating written and verbal communication with family members, guardians, team, volunteers, and community members. In this position, the task of orientating, tracking, and coordinating communication for current and new volunteers is shared with other administrative assistants.
To be considered for this position, you are required to have an associate degree with major coursework in office support or business or office education and one year of work experience performing a variety of office support, clerical, or secretarial work. Additional work experience performing office support, clerical, or secretarial duties may substitute for the education requirement on a year for year basis. Proficiency in keyboarding, specific software, personal computer, grammar, and/or spelling skills, in addition to interpersonal and professional communication and customer service skills are required.
