The Manager, Finance is primarily responsible for preparing and/or reviewing financial analysis used to monitor the Company's performance and operational and financial metrics across the portfolio. The role will support multiple functions, primarily the Finance and Accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

Supports the annual budget process by partnering with department leaders throughout the organization to compile an annual budget. Compiles budget summary roll-ups to present to executive management.

Analyzes and/or reviews monthly, quarterly, and annual budget to actual variances. Provides summary level explanations to present to executive management.

Supports various departments and other team members by performing ad hoc analysis as requested.

Reviews corporate level debt and credit rating metrics on a quarterly basis.

Reviews, mentors, and provides leadership to other members on the team.

Reviews and assesses reasonableness of our allocations, ensuring GAAP compliance.

Prepares supporting documents for company filings, slide decks, and executive management.

In accordance with applicable policies/procedures and Federal/State laws, may perform the following supervisory responsibilities: Interviewing, hiring orienting and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field

Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of experience in related field

Real Estate industry/REIT experience preferred

Basic understanding of GAAP accounting and financial statements

Basic understanding of SOX compliance

Knowledge of MS Office, Yardi Voyager, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, preferred

CPA preferred but not required

Excellent verbal and written communication, project management, change management, analysis and organizing skills.

Ability to think strategically, synthesize the most complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions

Strong leadership, employee development, appraisal, relationship management, problem-solving and presentation skills

Microsoft Excel skills required, specifically Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and other advanced functions

In the states of Colorado, California, Washington, and Illinois; the anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $112,596 - $140,748. Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in medical, dental and vision insurance; flexible spending accounts and/or health savings accounts; dependent savings accounts; 401(k) with company matching contributions; employee stock purchase plan; and a tuition reimbursement program. The Company provides 9 paid holidays per year, and, upon hire, new employees will accrue paid time off (PTO) at a rate of 0.0577 hours of PTO per hour worked, up to a maximum of 120 hours per year.
