Job Title: Lead Electrical Assembler
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Delegate tasks among the Electrical Assembly team, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
Planning & Scheduling: Assist with planning and production schedules to meet target dates and ensure resource availability.
Goal Setting: Establish clear goals and objectives for Electrical Assembly employees to drive performance and growth.
Recruitment: Participate in interviewing and selecting Electrical Assembly candidates, ensuring the best fit for the team.
Training & Development: Orient and train new employees, or delegate this responsibility to experienced team members. Act as a mentor and coach to foster professional development.
Equipment & Techniques: Collaborate with the Production Manager to select new equipment or techniques to enhance task efficiency.
Technical Expertise: Maintain professional and technical knowledge by actively participating in production work, including all responsibilities described in the Electrical Assembler and Sr. Electrical Assembler positions.
Performance Management: Prioritize work, set schedules, conduct performance reviews, and manage personnel issues within the Electrical Assembly department.
Administrative Tasks: Utilize computer systems for various responsibilities, such as checking timecards and maintaining records.
Team Meetings: Schedule and hold regular meetings with the Electrical Assembly team to discuss progress, challenges, and updates.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Attend meetings with Production and Engineering teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with at least one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience leading a team is strongly preferred.
Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Proficiency in writing routine reports and correspondence.
Communication Skills: Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Problem-Solving: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Software Proficiency: Knowledge of spreadsheet software, word processing software, and internet software.

Work Environment:
Safety & Exposure: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to the risk of electrical shock and frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee may occasionally encounter fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions.
Noise Level: The noise level is usually moderate.
Physical Demands: Physical demands include standing, using hands, talking, and hearing, frequently walking, reaching, and stooping, and occasionally sitting, climbing, and balancing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
