Our client, a dynamic player in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a Manufacturing Buyer to join their team. As a Manufacturing Buyer, you will be part of the procurement department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a proactive mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Manufacturing Buyer

Location: Forest, VA

Pay Range: $25 per hour

What's the Job?

Utilize ERP system (Syteline) to determine current material availability or anticipated date of receipt.

Ensure required materials are present prior to releasing job orders to production.

Process the Material Planner Workbench daily for engineering releases, customer orders, and stock replenishment.

Collaborate with Engineering to ensure an accurate Bill of Material.

Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning, inventory, and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost-effective and timely manner.

What's Needed?

Experience in coordinating with vendors to obtain information concerning product, negotiated price, and delivery dates for a manufacturing company.

Strong analytical skills to track and manage daily on-time delivery and vendor quality including use of ERP systems and purchasing software.

Ability to clearly communicate and track communications of inability to meet release requirements.

Capability to resolve accounting discrepancies and process supplier returns/rejections.
