Job Description:

This role is responsible for supporting all aspects of the manufacturing assembly process throughout the Malabar, Florida facility, with a focus on shared service processes. It is essential for this role to work effectively in a team environment and to be self-sufficient when responding to operational support requests or performing proactive duties. A basic understanding of automated equipment, including troubleshooting skills and programming, is required. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams is a must. Experience with conformal coatings, such as Parylene and Urethane, is preferred.

Essential Functions:

Create and maintain manufacturing process documentation.

Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to identify and implement process improvements and projects to reduce costs, minimize waste and increase efficiency.

Deploy and support equipment verification/validation for new/modified processes.

Monitor and analyze process data, identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements using statistical tools.

Establish root cause and corrective actions using structured problem-solving methods and tools.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience in Manufacturing Engineering.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Highly motivated and driven self-starter who's able to operate with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment

Understanding of manufacturing systems, production processes, technical standards, and assembly equipment

Strong verbal and written communication skills including experience with MS Office products like Word and Excel

Electro-Mechanical Assembly process experience including fixture design, robotics/automation, and mechanical process equipment

Lean Six Sigma training, preferably Yellow or Green Belt certification.

Experience with process improvement tools and methodologies such as Kaizen, 5S and PFMEA

Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Knowledge of process simulation software is a plus
