Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This position is based in Salinas, California, and offers a hybrid work arrangement. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing month-end financial processes, maintaining fixed asset records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

Manage the fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.

Oversee and perform month-end close procedures, including account reconciliations and financial statement analysis.

Prepare and post journal entries for both routine and complex transactions.

Calculate, prepare, and adjust accrual and deferral entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Provide detailed documentation and expert support during internal and external audits.

Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and assist in implementing best practices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data reporting.

Utilize advanced Excel functions and accounting software to streamline financial operations. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate accounting, with expertise in fixed assets and month-end close.

Proficiency in accounting principles and practices, including GAAP standards.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulas.

Familiarity with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.

Strong analytical and organizational abilities, with excellent communication skills.

Proven track record of meeting deadlines in a hybrid work environment.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.
