About the Role:
The Marketing Event Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing events (e.g., trade shows, conventions, meetings) for internal and/or external clients. This role will be responsible for specific events in which they will own all aspects of event logistics end-to-end and will collaborate with colleagues on other events.
Responsibilities:
Organize and execute event deliverables and tactics, specifically as it relates to participation in external trade shows and conventions
Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze event marketing effectiveness versus objectives
Offer innovative ideas, strategies and approaches and continuous process improvement
Manage, influence and communicate about event budgets and work with marketing partners to track and analyze expenditures
Report marketing results per initiative and across the team for each event
Demonstrate professionalism and high ethical standards as a representative for the brand and the marketing department with both external and internal stakeholders
Work independently to meet deadlines while coordinating with and soliciting input on materials from colleagues
Resolves complex problems where precedence may not exist; has the ability to operate with some ambiguity
Other duties as assigned such as support for large industry and companywide events
Requirements:
4-year college degree preferably in Marketing or Business
A minimum of 5-8 years event experience required; tradeshow experience highly preferred
Ability to travel, up to 25% of time
Strong experience with event management tools, such as Cvent, SmartSheet, event management software helpful to role
Highly competent in project management and organization with ability to handle multiple projects/deadlines
Strong attention to detail; carefully manages budgets and tracks expenses
Critical thinker and problem solver
Influential communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly collaborative and gains support by building relationships with key stakeholders
Experience in working in a matrix environment with multiple internal and external partners
Self-starter and passionate with strong bias towards driving results
