Funding Reconciliation Specialist - AP

Description We are looking for a Funding Reconciliation Specialist - AP to join our team in Rochester, New York. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of funding processes while collaborating with internal teams and external clients. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in finance or accounting who enjoys problem-solving and working with systems to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Retrieve and review files daily from assigned systems to ensure accurate funding processes.

Analyze system capabilities to determine optimal methods for funding and reconciliation, documenting processes for seamless execution.

Recommend and implement strategies for improving funding workflows and share insights with management.

Collaborate closely with Service and Implementation teams to assist prospective clients in using designated systems effectively.

Track and maintain metrics related to funding and reconciliation systems to monitor performance and accuracy.

Educate both clients and team members on funding procedures to enhance understanding and compliance.

Conduct routine checks and true-ups to ensure all financial records are precise and up-to-date.

Support additional tasks as assigned to contribute to the success of the team. Requirements - Strong research skills and attention to detail.

0-2 years of relevant experience; entry-level candidates are welcome.

Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Background in finance or accounting is highly desirable.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Technical aptitude with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems.

Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Strong communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams and external clients.
