Job Title: Manufacturing Technician Overview:Suit-Kote Corporation is seeking candidates to join our Asphalt Emulsion team as a Manufacturing Technician to facilitate the production of various asphalt emulsion materials. New team members will receive comprehensive in-house training, career development, and an industry leading benefits package that includes low premium health insurance, 401(k) and profit sharing, group life insurance, paid time off and holiday pay, employee assistance program, clothing/boot program, and overtime pay after 8 hours worked per day.Job Responsibilities:Serve as a manufacturing technician to ensure the timely manufacture of asphalt emulsions used in various road construction processes.Work with shift employees and other internal team members to schedule production and related tasks to meet operational schedules and quality targets.Partners with quality assurance group to ensure product meets quality targets, collaborating in adjusting production as necessary.Basic and preventive equipment maintenance (pumps, gauges, valves, etc.).Truck loading/unloading and interaction with internal and third-party drivers.Safe handling of chemicals and products manufactured at elevated temperatures.Safe operation of forklifts and manlifts as necessary.Required Skills/Abilities:Strong work ethic and team orientationAbility to perform basic calculations and formulasEffective communication skills in a cross-functional organizationAbility to work in a periodically fast paced environmentAbility to work regular overtime and occasional weekend hours as needed.Reliable transportation to and from work site (drivers license preferred)Pass a pre-employment drug and personal background screeningMust have or be willing to obtain company sponsored OSHA 10 Hour Safety CertificatePhysical Requirements:Ability to lift minimum of 50 poundsUncompromising commitment to safety and use of Personal Protective EquipmentMust be able to work in an industrial environmentBending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, crawling and squattingOther Preferred Qualities:Ability to read and understand Safety Data SheetsBasic computer skills (Microsoft Office)Position is considered full time but seasonal in nature, with an anticipated lay-off period from mid November to mid March.
