Job Title: Plant AccountantJob Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Plant Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting and possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis for our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

Perform cost accounting activities including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Monitor and report on key financial metrics and performance indicators.

Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.

Collaborate with operations and production teams to optimize cost efficiency.

Support external audits and provide necessary documentation.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

3-5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

Proficiency in accounting software (SAGE) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Work Environment

The work environment is an office setting. Our company is a growing, small, family-owned business that is on track to grow 400% in the next 4 years. We have expanded our dealer network from 4 to 22 and need more people to manage our growth and incoming orders.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.50 - $43.50/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
