Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Desktop Engineers to support day-to-day operations and long-term IT initiatives.
Oversee desktop engineering functions including image management, software deployment, patch management, and endpoint security.
Manage and optimize SCCM infrastructure for software deployment, patching, and device compliance.
Ensure effective use and monitoring of Microsoft Defender and other endpoint protection solutions.
Support Citrix environments and VDI infrastructure (e.g., VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops).
Collaborate with security teams to implement policies and controls through MDM solutions (e.g., Intune, Workspace ONE).
Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization of desktop engineering practices.
Ensure SLAs are met and provide incident and problem management oversight related to end-user systems.
Contribute to IT strategy, budget planning, and resource allocation.
Maintain documentation, asset inventories, and ensure compliance with IT policies and audit requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Infrastructure, Security, and Application Support.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 5 years of experience managing or leading a Desktop Engineering or End User Computing team .
Strong hands-on knowledge of SCCM/MECM , Microsoft Defender for Endpoint , Citrix , VDI platforms , and MDM technologies.
Demonstrated leadership, team-building, and project management skills.
Experience supporting Windows OS environments (Windows 10/11 and Windows Server).
Familiarity with scripting tools (PowerShell preferred) for automation and configuration tasks.
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
ITIL certification or familiarity with ITIL processes is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with cloud-based endpoint management (e.g., Intune, Autopilot).
Familiarity with Zero Trust principles and endpoint hardening.
Experience in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, finance) is advantageous.

Project Delivery & Execution
Own and manage the full lifecycle of desktop-related projects , from requirements gathering through execution and delivery.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, resource estimates, and risk mitigation strategies.
Track progress, ensure deadlines are met, and report status to stakeholders and leadership.
Coordinate cross-functional collaboration and vendor engagement when necessary.
Continuously improve delivery processes by applying best practices and lessons learned.
Operational Excellence
Drive standardization, automation, and innovation within the desktop engineering space.
Ensure effective endpoint security and compliance with corporate and industry standards.
Oversee software deployments, OS upgrades, hardware refresh cycles, and device lifecycle management.
Maintain thorough documentation and ensure audit-readiness.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $91,700 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
