Job Title: Quoting AssociateJob Description

The Quoting Associate will work with internal teams and customers to prepare quotations for products and services. This role is heavily administrative and involves working with vendors and freight companies to obtain product and hauling quotes, as well as other necessary data.

Responsibilities

Answer emails and phone calls for product quotes, typically from sales personnel.

Analyze, compare, and interpret detailed and occasionally poorly defined information.

Process information through the quoting program (currently QuoteWerks).

Contact vendors for quotes on needed products.

Contact freight companies for hauling quotes.

Gather and analyze cost data for desired products.

Save all quoted data in appropriate files, both paper and electronic.

Keep files organized (active orders, dead, lost, etc.).

Update vendor pricing in quoting systems.

Provide backup support for the purchasing department.

Essential Skills

Administrative support experience.

Customer support experience.

Excellent organizational skills.

Excellent communication skills.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.

Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in quoting or pricing.

Mechanical inclination, such as hobbies involving working on cars, motors, or building things.

Work Environment

The position is Monday to Friday with flexible hours, typically starting between 7:00am and 8:00am. The dress code is casual, but steel-toed shoes are required (with an employee allowance of $75 per year).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
